Eleanor Rich

After being involved in the 1980’s with the Church Action Training School (CATS) initiated by Jono and Mary Turner in Gateways, Eleanor went to Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Initially, she was with YWAM Kona in Hawaii involved in the worship ministry. Later, she moved to Norway and started leading Discipleship Training Schools (DTS’s), teaching and mentoring young people.

Currently, she is back in Hawaii serving with the YWAM Ships Team. The Ships ministry focuses on ministry to the isolated and needy people in the Pacific Rim where planes are unable to land. Eleanor leads one of the largest DTS’s at the Ships base, training up young leaders to disciple students from all walks of life. Through the schools she has led and staffed, long-term teams were established that have now developed into young YWAM bases in Cambodia and Haiti, along with a long-term ministry on their ship in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
